Unit AL-791
AL-791 started strong at Foley High School back in the 1979-1980 school year. The unit activated with 130 cadets and has remained viable since then. We began with activities we still do today, to include, Colorguard, Honor Guard, Drill Team, Rocketry, and its very own Bowling Team. Today, the unit has 69 cadets and many more activities to show the dedication of these cadets and leadership put into the JROTC program. Today's activities include, Color Guard, Drill Team, Drone team, Cyber Patriot, Saber Team, Kitty Hawk, Marksmanship, and Academic Bowl. AL-791 plays a big role in the community. If it's marching to give thanks to the men and women who fought for our rights and freedom or to simply clean up trash in the community, we aim to serve. The program is currently led by Master Sergeant, (retired) Darell Howard and (retired) Major Keith Abston. Master Sergeant Howard and Major Abston guides the cadets to great success, teaching each cadet to be a leader and giving each cadet the opportunity to lead. The AL-791 AFJROTC unit takes great pride in the well-being of students and the community, working hard to be an example to others. AL-791 welcomes you to our website, if you have any questions please contact the school or command via the button to the right and you will receive a response shortly.

A little about Air Force JROTC
Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) is designed to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community through lessons on aerospace science, leadership education, and wellness. Lessons are reinforced through outside activities such as field trips to military bases, museums, civilian airports and other aerospace related industries. Community service projects are also a major part of the AFJROTC experience.
